The 大前门 (Daqianmen) brand of cigarettes originally belonged to the British-American Tobacco Company. Production began in 1916 in Qingdao, Tianjin, and Shanghai, with the product reaching every corner of the nation. This brand features a Grade A flue-cured tobacco blend, delivering a rich and smooth flavor with a moderate strength. Cigarettes from the Shanghai Cigarette Factory under the 大前门 (Daqianmen) brand were recognized as a national quality product by the Ministry of Light Industry in 1979, and in 1987, they were awarded the title of a quality product by the China National Tobacco Corporation.

大前门牌卷烟原是英美烟公司产品。民国5年(1916年)开始在青岛、天津、上海三地生产，产品遍及全国各地。 该牌为乙一级烤烟型卷烟，烟味浓香醇和，劲头适中。 上海卷烟厂生产的大前门牌卷烟于1979年被轻工业部评为全国轻工业优质产品，1987年被中国烟草总公司评为全国烟草行业优质产品。
