The 大前门 (Daqianmen) brand of cigarettes originally belonged to the British American Tobacco Company. Production began in 1916 in Qingdao, Tianjin, and Shanghai, with the product reaching every corner of the country. This brand features a Class B flue-cured tobacco cigarette, offering a rich, aromatic flavor that is smooth and well-balanced in strength. Cigarettes from the Shanghai Cigarette Factory under the 大前门 (Daqianmen) brand were recognized as a national quality product by the Ministry of Light Industry in 1979, and in 1987, they were awarded the title of a quality product in the national tobacco industry by the China National Tobacco Corporation.

大前门牌卷烟原是英美烟公司产品。民国5年(1916年)开始在青岛、天津、上海三地生产，产品遍及全国各地。 该牌为乙一级烤烟型卷烟，烟味浓香醇和，劲头适中。 上海卷烟厂生产的大前门牌卷烟于1979年被轻工业部评为全国轻工业优质产品，1987年被中国烟草总公司评为全国烟草行业优质产品。
