“三沙”牌卷烟商标于1996年由福建畲山卷烟厂注册，所有权归福建中烟工业有限责任公司。2015年12月，海南红塔公司与福建中烟工业有限责任公司签订了商标转让协议。新设计的“三沙”牌卷烟商标经审定后，海南红塔公司陆续向工商总局商标局提交“三沙＋SANSHA”商标和“三沙”整体商标注册申请并于2016年6月8日正获批。6月初，海南红塔公司完成“三沙”卷烟的研发任务，正式投入生产。7月1日，产品正式上市。 选用自然醇化5年以上的优质烟叶；选用海南特色香料，具有丰富饱满的复合香气特征；香气高雅、劲头适中、口感舒适、余味干净、无刺激无杂气。
