凤凰

The 凤凰 (Fenghuang) brand of cigarettes was designed and registered in 1956 by the Shanghai Tobacco Industry Company, with production by the Nanyang Tobacco Factory, and later by the Shanghai Cigarette Factory No. 2 in 1959. In August 1966, production was halted due to reports that the 凤凰 brand trademark "carried feudal connotations." In 1972, the Shanghai Cigarette Factory successfully trialed a new style of aromatic cigarettes, reusing the original 凤凰 trademark. After evaluation, the 凤凰 brand cigarettes were confirmed as aromatic cigarettes.

凤凰牌卷烟于1956年由上海烟草工业公司设计、注册，南洋烟厂生产，1959年由上海卷烟二厂生产。1966年8月有人反映凤凰牌商标“带有封建色彩”而停止生产。1972年，上海卷烟厂试制成功外香型风格样烟，套用原凤凰牌商标。经审定，凤凰牌卷烟被确认为外香型卷烟。
