The "石林" (Shilin) brand of cigarettes was established by the Qujing Cigarette Factory in 1974, and scaled production began in 1980. In 1982, it was awarded the title of Provincial Quality Product. In 1987 and 1991, it was recognized as a high-quality product by the National Tobacco Corporation, and it was one of the first ten premium cigarettes to have its prices deregulated in 1998. The packaging design of "石林" cigarettes features the stone formations of Shilin as its main motif.
“石林”牌卷烟由曲靖卷烟厂创牌于1974年，1980年以后形成规模生产，1982年获得省优产品称号，1987、1991年经国家烟草总公司评比鉴定，被评为国家烟草行业优质产品，是1998年国家率先放开价格的十种名优卷烟之一。 “石林”卷烟商标包装设计以石林的石头群为主体图案。
