In 1957, the Nanchang Cigarette Factory launched the "庐山" (Lushan) brand of cigarettes, classified as Grade B, representing the highest tier of cigarettes from Nanyang at that time. During the 1970s and 1980s, "庐山" experienced fluctuations in the market; although it rose to prominence in 1979, being recognized as a quality product in Jiangxi Province and awarded by the Ministry of Light Industry, it later faded from public view. In 2002, Nanyang introduced the premium "庐山," establishing it as a leading brand of mid-range cigarettes in Jiangxi. By 2004, "庐山" was included in the list of the top one hundred cigarette brands in China.
